Outdoor kitchens require three separate utility connections — gas, electrical, and plumbing — and coordinating all three under one contractor makes a significant difference in how the project runs. We design and build outdoor kitchen islands for homeowners across Southeast Michigan, running gas-rated piping from your home's meter for the grill and side burners, installing GFCI-protected circuits for refrigerators and lighting, and extending supply and drain lines for the sink.
The island structure is masonry or steel-frame, built on a reinforced concrete pad. Countertop options include granite, quartzite, and sintered porcelain slab — materials that handle freeze-thaw cycling and direct sun without degrading. We integrate drawer storage, trash pull-outs, and access doors into the island. Oakland County projects go through permit and inspection; we don't hand off utility work to other subs and hope the coordination happens.
