Manufactured Stone Veneer for Accent Walls and Foundations

Manufactured stone veneer is concrete cast from natural stone molds with iron oxide pigment coloring. On a foundation skirt, porch column, or accent wall, it reads as real masonry from any normal viewing distance. It weighs a fraction of natural stone, so it installs over standard framing without structural modifications. We apply Cultured Stone by Boral and Eldorado Stone on homes throughout Oakland County.
Substrate preparation determines whether the installation holds. We install corrosion-resistant metal lath over weather-resistant barrier and apply a scratch coat of mortar before setting any stone. Each piece goes on individually — we select shapes and sizes for a natural, random pattern that avoids the repetition you get when installers work from a single pallet. Joints get filled and tooled to a consistent profile. The completed installation gets sealed with breathable masonry sealer for long-term stain resistance.
For Metro Detroit homeowners, a stone veneer foundation skirt or entry column treatment is one of the highest-impact exterior upgrades available relative to its cost. It adds visual weight and material richness to an elevation that reads as light or unfinished without it. We coordinate stone selection with siding, trim, and roof colors before any material is ordered so the full exterior palette reads as intentional.
