Fixture installation is the final plumbing phase, and it's where rough-in accuracy pays off. A closet flange set at the correct centerline location gets a toilet installed in 20 minutes. A flange that's 3 inches off requires a flange extension, a corrected floor tile cut, or both. We verify rough-in locations against the actual specified fixtures before tile and flooring are installed, when corrections are still inexpensive.
We set and connect every fixture type: kitchen and bathroom sinks, toilets on wax or waxless seals, shower valves and trim plates, bathtubs with proper subfloor support, garbage disposals, dishwashers, and laundry connections. Supply connections use braided stainless supply lines with correct fittings — not over-wound PTFE tape on NPT threads that loosens over time and drips at the valve body. Every fixture is tested under full water pressure before the job closes.
Sequencing matters for fixture installation. Toilets go in after floor tile is set. Undermount sinks go in before countertops. Faucets go in after the countertop is installed but before the backsplash is caulked. When the general contractor coordinates plumbing with finish trades, that sequence happens correctly. When a plumber is scheduled independently, callbacks for out-of-sequence work are common. We demonstrate each fixture's operation and point out shut-off valve locations before closing out the job.
