Adjustable shelving inside the upper cabinets handles detergent containers of all sizes. Utility sink installations get plumbed with vented drains and shutoff valves that stay accessible.

Electrical upgrades often go in at the same time: dedicated circuits for modern high-efficiency machines, a dryer vent re-routed to code, LED task lighting above the folding surface.
