Shower niches have to be framed and waterproofed before tile goes up — they can't be added after the fact without removing finished wall tile. We frame recessed niches at ergonomic heights based on the primary users of the shower, tile them to integrate with the wall pattern, and fit them with tileable shelves or stainless inserts depending on the look. Niche placement gets coordinated with the tile layout so the opening lands on a full tile boundary rather than cutting through the middle of a field tile.
Hardwired towel warmers from Amba and WarmlyYours mount flush to the wall and operate on timers or smart switches. We run dedicated circuits during rough-in so the warmer doesn't share a circuit with other bathroom loads, and we position the switch near the vanity where it gets used. A towel warmer on a morning timer — set to come on 20 minutes before your alarm — is the kind of detail that costs relatively little to install during a remodel and gets used every day after.
LED accent lighting in niches, toe-kick illumination under vanities, and dimmable cove lighting along ceiling soffits all get planned during the rough-in phase. Wiring is concealed in walls and ceilings before drywall closes. The result is a layered lighting system with separate circuits for task, ambient, and accent — you control the atmosphere of the room instead of being stuck with one overhead light level for everything from getting ready in the morning to a late evening bath.
