Tile installation fails for two reasons: bad substrate prep or bad layout planning. We address both before we ever set a tile. Subfloors get moisture-tested, leveled, and covered with the appropriate membrane for the application — Schluter DITRA for decoupling over wood subfloors, Laticrete Hydro Ban in wet areas. That prep work is what keeps grout joints intact and tiles from cracking years down the road.
We install large-format porcelain, natural stone, mosaic accents, and luxury vinyl in kitchens and bathrooms throughout Southeast Michigan. Our tile crews do detailed layout planning — starting points, cut locations, pattern direction, accent placement — before installation begins. Herringbone, chevron, stacked, and custom inlay patterns all require precise field planning to look right at the edges and focal walls.
Heated floor systems from Schluter DITRA-HEAT integrate directly into our tile installations. We lay the heating cable in the uncoupling membrane, test the circuit before setting tile, and connect to a programmable Wi-Fi thermostat.
